Who is Robedee Design?

Robedee Design is a full-service boutique design studio located in Long Island, NY. We specialize in creating affordable custom wedding invitations that capture the essence of your wedding style, and elements of your unique love story.

At Robedee Design, we believe that since every love story is unique and special, your wedding invitations should be too. With over 12 years of experience, we have an eye for design and a passion for creativity, color, paper, and service. We know how important it is for your wedding invitation to set the tone for your big day, and we’ll work alongside you to ensure your experience is tailored to your needs as we bring your vision to life.

What is the minimum order?

At Robedee Design, we aim to be as accommodating as possible. For wedding invitations, there is a minimum order of $600. For other design services, there is no minimum order amount.

We’d be happy to provide a proposal for your wedding invitations, or project at any quantity you wish.

For a digitally printed invitation suite, on average, an invitation suite ranges from $6.50 - $10 each, depending on enhancement choices, design, number of suite pieces and paper stock.

Invitation suite designs that incorporate letterpress and/or foil printing processes cost more per suite.

I'm not finding what I am looking for, can I contact you?

 

We only offer the highest of quality paper stock in many colors. Depending on the design and printing process, the paper stock weight choices range from 110 lbs. to 220lbs.

What kind of paper stock do you use?

 

We mostly design in digital flat printing to achieve a beautiful, yet affordable design. Depending on your budget, we do offer letterpress and foil stamp techniques as well. 

What kind of printing techniques do you offer?

 

 

With digital printing, we print your custom design directly onto paper stock. This method is more affordable and has a quicker turnaround since there are no printing plates required.

What is digital flat printing?

 

 

Letterpress printing is a relief printing technique that has been around since the 15th century. Using a printing press, your paper stock is pressed against the bed of the press where custom dies have been positioned. The ink is then transferred to the paper leaving a beautiful, textured appearance

If you’re looking to add some shiny accents to your invitations, foil stamping is the method for you. This technique presses metallic foil onto paper stock using heated copper plates.

Yes, we offer digital calligraphy services with your Invitation Suite order.

Do you offer guest addressing services?

The size and weight of your invitation suite determine the postage cost. We recommend that once you receive your order, take one complete suite to your local post office where you will be mailing from, and get one complete suite weighed.

How do I determine how much postage is needed?

 

 

The general rule is to take your final guest list number and divide by 2. Each invitation suite is typically for a couple. Then, add 10-15 for extra invitations. For example, your guest list is 200 people, divide by 2 =100 + 15 = 115 invitation suites.

How do I know how many invitations to order?

 

 

We recommend ordering at least 10-15 extra invitations to accommodate any extra guests you need to invite, and a few extras for yourself and family. And be sure to save one for your photographer to take a photo of too!

How many extra invitations should I order?


ORDERING

If a deposit is paid, and cancellation is made within 24 hours, the deposit can be refunded within 30 days of purchase.

Invitation orders are immediately put into production, so after 24 hours, the order can be cancelled, but the deposit cannot be refunded.

If I paid a deposit, can I cancel and get a refund?

 

 

Once my order is placed, how long does it take to receive my invitations?

Overall, printing & delivery takes about 2 to 4 weeks. Once invitations are back from the printer, we’ll carefully review your order. Then, we’ll contact you to arrange a delivery date & time. Your wedding invitation suites are hand-delivered, so please allow 5 to 7 days for drop-off.

We try to be as flexible as possible with changes throughout the entire process. Once final approval and sign off is received from you, the invitation files are sent to the printer immediately. Any changes requested after will be estimated, and charged accordingly.

Once I approve and sign off on the final invitation files and release to printer, can I make any changes?

May I place my order via email or phone or in person?


PAYMENT

All forms of payment are accepted – check, cash and credit card. Check is preferred.

What forms of payment do you accept?

A 25% deposit is required to place an order, and once the design is approved and final, the balance is due prior to releasing final files to the printer.

Do I need to pay in full to place an order?

 

All design work is custom and personalized; therefore, they are unable to be returned.
